Leave Low Self Worth Behind

When you live in a perpetual nightmare of being pushed around by others, living a life like a puppet for others or feeing like you are living a life in a cage unable to get free because the fear inside is too overwhelming, it is just existing not living.

It’s that feeling that inside your voice and passion are raging and shouting out to be heard but on the surface it has no means of escape. That just the thought of standing up for yourself or making your point fills you with consuming, gripping muteness that follows with a cold sweat and even more self criticism for not standing your ground.

Sound familiar? Yeah, I know all about that too! Having spent a lifetime living under other people’s control and mind games I can fully empathise with these feelings. Yet I broke free and live my life fearless and confident now, so it is possible to change all these conditions and everyone can do it!

Here are a couple of points to be aware of, that will help you understand why the low self worth is there and how to take back control.

Reflection – This is not going into and dwelling on the past, the past is gone! It was only ever there to provide contrast and experience. Instead take some time to understand how your low self worth got there because get this, it didn’t come from you!

There is no blame or guilt, only experience and you will find that much of what has set the perception of low self worth has come from social and generational conditioning, so therefore has come through external sources. It is understanding what is going on energetically that allows clarity.

You could go back generation after generation and find the low frequency of low self esteem running through all, derived from societal pressures to fit into a particular model that the governments or ruling bodies put in place (and be in no doubt this was orchestrated to keep people in fear, as in fear people are easily controlled).

You see any emotions around worry, stress, anxiety or self doubt all correlates to resonating low frequency, which attracts low frequency experiences (and usually sets up a perpetuating cycle of negative experiences and things going wrong). What this does to the individual is make them consciously or unconsciously look to control others as a means to justify their existence (as opposed to dealing with the low self worth) and so this is handed down generation after generation.

So once you can identify where your low self worth began and acknowledge it, energetically you then allow energy to release it. Take the time to do this exercise and you will be surprised at the effect!

Self Love – This is a crucial one to build self worth. All wealth, whether it be spiritual, emotional or financial is directly correlated to honouring self worth and this begins with learning to love yourself.

Many people will say ‘but I do love myself?’ If you hold low self worth…you don’t. A good test is to try the mirror test:

Stand in front of a mirror, it can be a full length or half mirror. Look at your reflection, look into your eyes and say ‘ I truly love and accept myself just as I am!’. If you find this excruciatingly difficult you have not learnt to love yourself, it is a great little test which you cannot fake!

To build self love requires focus on you, your passion, vision and values.

Imagination holds your vision – Your vision holds your values -Your values holds your passion – Your passion holds the power of your beliefs‘ ~ Edel O’ Mahony

Self love begins with defining who you are, not as part of a society, a family or partnership but who YOU are. Once you know your values, passion and vision for you, it is then all about taking your focus away from the external conditioning and focusing within. Your energy essence is always communicating with you, you just need to join in the conversation.
